Biography Raffaele Stancanelli
Raffaele Stancanelli was born to Regalbuto (EN) 30/6/1950 and manages the profession of lawyer ‘cassazionista’ in the civil and administrative field in Catania.
Its political curriculum is formed through the experiences of town adviser of the MSI party in Regalbuto from 1978 to 1983, and in Catania from 1985 to 1992.
In 1996 he has been elected for the first time to the Sicilian regional Coucil in Catania. It covered the positions of secretary of the Special Committee for the Reform of the Regional Autonomist Statute and of component of the Regional Budget control.
In 1999 he has been elected President of the parliamentary Group.In 2001 he has been re-elected to the Sicilian Region parliament and he has been called to belong to the regional government with the delegation aldermen to the Job, professional Formation, social Foresight and Emigration, while since August 2004 with delegation to the Family, to the Social Politics and the Local Autonomies.
After the 2002 Bologna National Alliance Party congress he has been chosen component of the National Direction of the Party. To the elections of May 28th 2006 deputy has been reinstated, resulting, with almost 16000 preferences, the more voted in Sicily of National Alliance party, and he has been elected Deputy President Vicar of the Regional Parliament.
In April 2008 he has been chosen Senator of the Republic. It belongs to the 11° Committee for permanent Job and social Foresight. To the administrative election of June 15,16th 2008 he has been chosen mayor of Catania.
